Jayne, if your days are anything like mine, getting to painting is H-A-R-D. I have been keeping a drawing journal, however, for Charlie'ds dog, Mary who I'm dog sitting for. I will post some of those drawings in a bit..
Rache, I know what you mean. I haven't had ANY time to paint, which is why I've been using pastels. I did these from photos I took at Higgins a couple of months ago. Hopefully, later today I can get to a quick painting. We'll see. . .

Monday

Jayne I cut the limes, and will have to make a drink now, I think.

Pears, pears, pears

Hi Rache - didn't get to paint much today. . . sadly. Maybe Tuesday.

There are all these cows around me Jayne, Indian Cows. Holy cows. SO many cows.

Saturday

I'm going to get some mileage out of these limes, Jayne, I can tell. They were so small and round and fun to paint, I'm going to paint a few more after I walk the dogs.
And I did paint again, in the same spot, but the shadows are so different! Jayne, are you at the beach today?

A hint of green

Well, it's true, Rache. There are hints of spring. On my way down to Crescent Beach with the dogs this morning, I couldn't help but notice the bits of green poking through the brown, winter grass. At last. . .Jayne, I did get outside this afternoon, sat on the deck and painted this leaning statue.

Tuesday Night

Here is the Tuesday night effort. Three apples, looking to me now, just what they are Jayne (you know what I'm talking about).

Still not quite warm enough to get outside so I painted from one of my favorite pictures of the marsh I run by all the time.

At last

At last, a day without a fire to put out. You inspired me with the tomatoes and when I saw these at Whole Foods, I couldn't resist. Although I had less than an hour, it was really nice to be back upstairs.


The apples as you know, are from Tuesday. Miss Tay Tay wanted to see them.

After our walk

I came back and finished the cherry tomatoes, Jayne, but they look awfully lonely, don't they? As you said, I need to work more on composition.

April Fool's

See you tonight, Jayne, I will bring the tulips but can't bring the amaryllis because it is still wet!
